This letter has been sent to those who comprised
the faculty, attended or have requested information
concerning the subject conference or have inquired
about the timing and location of future conferences
on the subject.
We are in the planning stage for the second such forum
which has been tentatively scheduled for the Spring
of 2002. Happily, rather than having to actively search
for a partnership, Patients Out of Time finds itself
in the enviable position of being approached with offers
of sponsorship for the second conference.
All of these potential sites are west of the Mississippi.
This reflects directly on the exceptional quality
of the content presented and the faculties ability to
present their material in an audience pleasing manner.
The national press did, and has continued to use the
data presented and the experts who presented it in a
positive educational posture. As members of the Planning
Committee we are personally grateful for the generosity
and expertise of all involved.
Enclosed with this letter is a description of the
available breakdown of presentations, in video format,
produced by the University of Iowa audio/visual staff
as commissioned by Patients Out of Time.
The entire conference is available, edited to a minimum
number of tapes, as are individual or panel presentations.
We have made these tapes as inexpensive as possible
and the price listed includes the cost of surface mail
delivery. Mailing/shipping to locations outside of the
United States or of a higher level of mail service will
be asked to supplement the individual charges listed
as real costs dictate.
The ordering information that you are receiving will
be duplicated on this web site, and will be advertised
via electronic communication.
Please address questions or recommendations of possible
interested parties to al@medicalcannabis.com.
We recommend that copies of these order forms be submitted
to all public, private or school and university libraries
with a request for their purchase. We have found professional
librarians to be seeking a source for the content of
these tapes in response to demand from citizens and
enrolled students, without the knowledge that the information
exists or how to obtain it.
We urge each of the recipients of this letter to
assist in the distribution of these materials. Every
little action taken by each of us contributes to bringing
sanity to this issue through education. Your actions
are important.
Please consider the next conference. Let us know
if you would like to participate. Suggest your ideas,
recommend those outside our circle of knowledge that
may be willing to participate in the next conference,
suggest organizations, businesses, foundations and
educational entities that would be willing to host
satellite broadcasts from the sponsoring location.
All of us, caregivers and patients, need to stay involved,
and keep the therapeutic Cannabis research and education
process vibrant and effective.
Our gratitude to you all for your support of the
sick and dying in the face of enormous ignorance and
government hostility.
For our Patients out of Time,
Al Byrne and Mary Lynn Mathre
