Patient Panels at our Clinical Conferences

At each of our biennial conferences on cannabis therapeutics, we invite patients to share their experience using cannabis as medicine. Some are protected by state medical marijuana laws and have a clinician's guidance, others have had to chart their own course of treatment - all have fascinating insights into the myriad ways that medical cannabis improves their lives and compelling stories of the sociological factors that come with their medicine of choice.

First, Rita Salinas tells how she came to try cannabis and how it helps her chronic pain and osteoarthritis.
Dr. B.J. Miller, both a doctor and amputee patient, suffers from neuropathic pain, plus direct pain from walking on his amputated legs.
Next William Britt, director of the Association of Patient Advocates and a post-polio and epilepsy patient, says cannabis not only helps with his chronic pain, but works for the depression, frustration and anger that often comes with disability.
The last speaker is Russel Peterson, who was paralyzed in an accident, suffers from muscle spasms and pain, and ended up on seven types of prescription medications Since discovering that cannabis worked better, he has been able to cut down the pills to only two.
